Let Us Drink the New Wine, Together! / Beberemos el Vino Nuevo, Juntos! is a major international exhibition co-created by Alys Longley and Chilean visual artist Máximo Corvalán-Pincheira, bringing together installations, artist maps, works on paper, video, and mail art by over 100 professionally recognised artists from every continent of the world.

The project was born during COVID — a time of borders closing, bodies isolating, and futures contracting — and proposes art as a way of imagining the world anew in uncertain times. Working across languages, geographies, and disciplines, it offers something like a global x-ray: a collective account of different realities held together not by uniformity but by the stubborn human impulse to make and send and share.

Shown at the Museum of Contemporary Art Santiago, Chile (August–October 2022), where it was viewed by over 10,000 visitors, and at Malcolm Smith Gallery, Auckland (2023), the exhibition has continued to travel in virtual form through ongoing collaborations with DotDot Creative Studios, New York City — reaching audiences in Ireland, Portugal, Australia, and the USA through 2020–2024, including a showing for the US Electronic Literature Organisation in July 2024.

The catalogue — published by the Museum of Contemporary Art Santiago — documents and extends the exhibition’s conceptual and methodological terrain, contributing to critical discourse on international creative collaboration, the Global South, and art-making as a form of solidarity.
